With Diwali lower than a month away, one New York Metropolis restaurant is popping to Indian road meals for inspiration.
Chaat, a vibrant class of savory Indian snacks, is understood for its daring, tangy, candy, and spicy flavors, paired with a playful mixture of textures. At Tamarind Tribeca, those self same flavors and textures aren’t simply on the plate—they’re within the glass.
Simply in time for Diwali, Tamarind is launching the Tamarind Pani Puri Cocktail, a tasting flight of 4 ingenious drinks impressed by chaat. The bottom is a frozen Mumbai Cosmopolitan (Belvedere vodka, lime juice, orange liqueur, rooh afza), whereas the opposite three are served inside precise pani puri spheres.

Components:
