Sazerac-owned The Final Drop Distillers has unveiled two new releases from closed distilleries in Trinidad and Scotland.


The 2 expressions from the 2026 Assortment are Launch No.41, a 25-year-old Trinidad rum, and Launch No.42, a 60-year-old single grain Scotch whisky.

Matured in Trinidad’s tropical local weather and bottled at 65.2% ABV, the rum provides aromas of roasted nuts, spiced oak, pineapple, vanilla, and delicate floral notes of orange blossom and jasmine.
The palate follows with notes of candy papaya, stewed hibiscus flower, spiced ginger cake, inexperienced banana leaf, white pepper, and a wisp of smoke.
Restricted to 261 bottles, the rum has a steered retail worth of £1,750 (US$2,380).
Kizito Owusu Sarfo, model director of World Aged Spirits at Sazerac, commented on the discharge: “This Caroni cask is a strong reminder of Trinidad’s rum‑making heritage: daring, industrial, and unmistakably expressive. Many years of tropical maturation have revealed layers of character that talk to the island’s spirit and to Caroni’s enduring legacy.”
Highlighting the character of Scotch grain whisky, The Final Drop 60-year-old was drawn from an ex-Bourbon cask No.160237. The whisky was distilled in 1965, through the distillery’s twilight years.
As soon as a cornerstone of Lowland grain whisky manufacturing, Carsebridge Distillery closed its doorways in 1983.
The whisky shows notes of toffee, baking spices, candy fruit, and clove on the nostril, adopted by toasted almonds, crème brûlée, and oak‑spice on the palate.
Restricted to 140 bottles at 42.4% ABV, the expression is offered at an SRP of £3,700 (US$5,030).
