Kuwait Oil Firm (KOC) has made a hydrocarbon discovery on the Al-Jlaiaa offshore subject inside Kuwaiti waters, estimated to carry 800 million barrels (mmbbls) of medium-density oil and as estimated 600 billion commonplace cubic toes(bcf) of related fuel, equal to 950 mmbbls of oil equal.
KOC stated that checks on the exploration properly (Al-Jlaiaa 2) yielded promising outcomes.
The Al-Jlaiaa subject, spanning over 74 sq. kilometers, is the second marine subject found beneath the present exploration plan, following the invention of the Al-Nokhatha subject in July 2024.
