São Paulo – Droga5 São Paulo launched the second part of “Lifeless Flag”, a marketing campaign created for SOS Oceano, a coalition of NGOs advocating for the enlargement of marine protected areas.
The primary part of the marketing campaign, launched at Rio Ocean Week in October 2025, eliminated the blue and inexperienced from the Brazilian flag to display that one ecosystem can not exist with out the opposite. One wants blue to create inexperienced, and with out the blue of the oceans, there is no such thing as a inexperienced life on land.
This idea is made literal on this second part of the marketing campaign via a sequence of six lovely screen-printed artworks, produced utilizing pure mineral pigments and developed in collaboration with Black Madre Studio and Joules & Joules Laboratory.
From the Amazon Rainforest to the Humpback Whale, every print attracts on the custom of Brazilian naturalist iconography by pairing marine and land wildlife. The yellow diamond of the Brazilian flag stays the focus of every print, highlighting the fusion of the colours eliminated within the first part.
“The start of this undertaking confirmed that design can condense a fancy environmental fact right into a single, felt image,” says Diego Limberti, Chief Design Officer at Droga5 São Paulo.
“The undertaking is rooted in shade principle. After we say ‘with out blue there is no such thing as a inexperienced,’ we’re working with the basic logic of main and secondary colours: blue and yellow create inexperienced,” says André Maciel, Artistic Director at Black Madre Studio.
