Egypt signed a cooperation settlement to hold out the ultimate research for the electrical energy interconnection mission between Egypt and Europe by Italy, aiming to strengthen the nation’s place as a regional power hub.
The settlement contains the preparation and implementation of the ultimate technical, environmental, and monetary research for the mission, in addition to the required steps to start implementation and set up an influence interconnection between Egypt’s nationwide electrical energy grid and the unified European grid by the Italian community.
The Egypt-Europe interconnection is designed to export surplus renewable power to the European continent, with a focused capability of as much as 3,000 megawatts.
The settlement was signed between the Egyptian Electrical energy Transmission Firm (EETC) and the UAE-based Ok&Ok firm.
