Extra cheese, much less butter in storage at finish of 2025
USDA says there was extra cheese and fewer butter in chilly storage a the tip of December.
Pure cheese shares as of December 31st rose one % above November and the December 2024 figures to 1.35 billion kilos. American type cheeses in storage totaled 771.1 million kilos. Different sorts of cheese totaled 559.4 million kilos. Practically half of that cheese is saved within the East North Central area of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Butter shares fell 5 % under November’s whole and 7 % under December 2024. Butter shares as of December 31st totaled 199.3 million kilos, down 5 % from the earlier month and 7 % from December 2024.
