HFC says regulatory reduction would make hemp extra worthwhile for farmers

The president of the Hemp Feed Coalition (HFC) says the group continues to push for a brand new farm invoice that strengthens the rising trade.
Andrew Bish tells Brownfield, “What I anticipate is that we’re going to see a leisure of laws for the grain and fiber growers.” He says, “That’s going to only make it simpler for farmers to develop, take away a few of the constraints and testing prices which are at present making hemp much less worthwhile.”
He says it’s a possibility for Congress to bolster hemp grain and fiber as a substitute for conventional row crops.
“There’s a fairly substantial demand for hemp grain in the US, and we at present are seeing an enormous weak point relative to corn and soybeans.” He says, “So, it’s a viable market and a spot that farmers may flip to extend a few of that income and diversify their crop.”
Bish says the farm invoice discussions received’t have a lot affect on using hemp grain as feed, as a result of animal feeds are regulated by the Meals and Drug Administration.
