A consortium of France’s EDF, Omani agency Al Khadra Companions and state renewables agency OQ Various Power (OQAE) has signed an influence buy settlement (PPA) to develop a 120MW wind undertaking in Jaalan Bani Bu Ali (JBB Ali) in japanese Oman. The undertaking is to begin up in 3Q 2027 and is a part of 1GW of wind tasks the sultanate is planning to develop (MEES, 20 September 2024). The scope has been expanded from preliminary plans for a 91-105MW plant.
An analogous deal was signed to develop the 125MW Dohfar II wind undertaking by OQAE and Singapore’s Sembcorp in November which can be due on-line in 3Q 2027 (MEES, 14 November). (CONTINUED – 109 WORDS)
