
This newest from Crossbarn showcases all of the basic California chardonnay vibes: lemon, coconut, baked apples, and vanilla — roughly in that order. There’s a softness to this wine that dials down any sense of over-oakiness, giving the expertise a delicate, creamy physique that perks up on the end with a citrusy acidity, nearly tropical in the long run. Laborious to place down and, in truth, when pairing the wine with a Center Japanese dinner, we didn’t.
