Syria’s oil ministry on 20 January issued six tenders for the supply of over 6mn barrels of crude and oil merchandise to its Mediterranean port of Banias over the approaching weeks.
Bids shut on 27 January with the submissions then opened by officers the next day. Supply of two crude cargoes totaling 4.2mn barrels in addition to one cargo every of gasoline and diesel is then to be made inside 30 days of a contract being signed, with 45 days for a requested LPG cargo (see desk).
