South Korea’s Hanwha Ocean shipyard has put France’s technological containment specialist Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) in control of designing tanks for seven new liquefied pure fuel carriers (LNGCs).

Due to an order from Hanwha Ocean, GTT will design the cryogenic tanks of the vessels, every of which is able to provide a complete capability of 174,000 cubic meters (cbm) on behalf of a European ship-owner.
The supply of those vessels, which will probably be fitted with the NO96 Tremendous+ membrane containment system that the French participant developed, is predicted between 2028 and 2029.
The newest order comes months after Hanwha Ocean employed GTT to provide you with tank designs for 2 extra liquefied pure fuel carriers.
