Japan’s Tsuneishi Shipbuilding has delivered a methanol dual-fuelled container vessel at its shipyard in China that may go on a constitution with Denmark-based container transport big A.P. Moller – Maersk.

The methanol dual-fuelled 5,900 TEU sort container provider was delivered by Tsuneishi Group (Zhoushan) Shipbuilding Inc. (TZS), Tsuneishi Shipbuilding‘s manufacturing base in China, on February 3.
“The supply of this methanol dual-fuelled container vessel at TZS marks an vital milestone, demonstrating that TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING has entered a part wherein alternative-fuel vessels may be constructed constantly at abroad manufacturing bases,” stated Okumura Sachio, Consultant Director, President and Govt Officer of Tsuneishi Shipbuilding.

This was adopted by the supply of what the corporate says is the world’s first methanol dual-fuelled Kamsarmax bulk provider at Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (CEBU) within the Philippines final month.
