Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Assets, participated within the first assembly of the Growing Eight (D‑8) Group for Financial Cooperation, which incorporates Egypt, Türkiye, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The assembly aimed toward reinforcing cooperation between members and increasing joint infrastructure, in line with a press release by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Assets (MoPMR).
The assembly occurred on the sidelines of Baku Vitality Week within the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, with the participation of vitality ministers from the member nations.
Through the assembly, the ministers adopted the Baku Declaration on Vitality Cooperation. The declaration supplies a shared strategic framework designed to assist member states navigate international market volatility, geopolitical tensions, and the rising calls for of electrification.
